Video Wednesday

Today we present two videos. Both are of New Orleans' talent Tab Benoit. In the first video you might think he's a stand up comedian, but watch the second video and you'll see his real talents.

ANDERS OSBORNE

Anders Osborne was born in Sweden in 1966. At an early age he fell in love with American music. At the age of 16 he hitchhiked through Europe and the rest of the world before settling down in New Orleans. He released his first album Doin' Fine in 1989 on Rabadash Records. His next album was "Break The Chain" on the same label. In 1995 he signes with Okeh Records and releases Which Way To Here. Around the same time he began working as a professional Nashville songwriter. His song "Watch the Wind Blow By" was a major hit for Tim McGraw. After Okeh he moved to Shanachie Records and recorded a live album from the famed New Orleans' club Tipitina's. In 1999 he recorded a more personal album Living Room. By this point he was struggling with a drug addiction. Getting clean soon after, in 2001 he married and soon was the father of two sons. 2001 saw the release of one of his best albums Ash Wednesday Blues. Next up in 2002 he recorded Bury the Hatchet with Big Chief Boudreaux. Another live album from Tips followed in 2006. After Katrina he releases a more a acoustic album Coming Down. Unfortunately his drug problems resurfaced. He spent six weeks in a California treatment facility in 2007. In 2010 he releases American Patchwork. Right before this year's Jazz Fest he released Black Eye Galaxy.
